The NHS Knowledge and Library Hub is an online gateway to:
Access the Knowledge and Library Hub: www.library.nhs.uk/gloucestershire and sign in with your NHS Open Athens login on the top yellow bar.
Alternatively, on Trust computers you can drag and drop the Knowledge and Library Hub link from the NHS Apps folders onto your desktop to create a shortcut.

The best way to access these databases is through the Knowledge and Library Hub. You will find a link to each database under the 'In-depth searching' section on the homepage.

A clinical decision making tool that combines the latest research evidence, guidelines, and expert opinion to support you in your practice. It also includes drug information, calculators, patient leaflets, videos and more.
Access BMJ Best Practice here, or from the Knowledge and Library Hub homepage.
An app is also available on Apple and Android. You will need to create a personal account before downloading the app. If you have already done this, go to the relevant app store, search 'BMJ Best Practice' and when prompted enter your BMJ Best Practice login details.

UpToDate
A clinical decision making tool purchased by our Medical Executive Team that gives you quick access to the latest evidence to answer your clinical questions. It also contains links to UK and other international guidelines, drug information, various calculators and patient information, as well as allowing you to log CPD/CME credits.
NB: UpToDate is an American resource. Please refer to local formulary and BNF for drug information.
An app is also available on Apple and Android.

LibKey Nomad
A browser extension that makes it easier and quicker for you to access the full-text of journal articles that the library has subscribed to (and also Open Access articles) that you come across as you browse the internet.
LibKey Nomad has been installed on Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome on all Trust computers. Please see the user guide tab for instructions on how to activate it on a Trust PC, or see separate instructions for how to install it on another browser or your own computer.

SWIMS Catalogue
SWIMS is a library catalogue that is shared by all NHS libraries across the South and West of England. SWIMS enables you to search for books and other items held at GRH and CGH libraries, see items held by other NHS libraries in the region, and to view and renew your loans online.
